When a user clicks submit, popup indicating missing required fields.

Users click submit and the page just flashes, so they think it was submitted and close the tab. Could we add bold red text near the submit button or as a pop up indicating they are missing required information so they scroll up to fill it in. Or also put a large red box around the field that is missing info.
