There's a spot to put a minimum quantity, but it doesn't appear to do much else but be shown. Can a report be made so that anything below the minimum quantity appear on the report? This would play nicely with the reorder list idea I put in. From the report you could add things to your reorder list.
Why can't they be one and the same? Because sometimes there are items we keep at zero during parts of the year and only reorder when we get ready for a certain thing (like salt and salt spreaders for winter). So they might be on the minimum quantity report without needing to be reordered.
It would also be really nice to check a box on edit inventory to exclude an item from the minimum quantity line on edit inventory (and in turn the report). There are part items we don't keep on hand because they're expensive and you may not need them ever again, but having them as an inventory item allows us to keep reorder information together in a neat organized way, gives the maintenance team the ability to just put an order in if they do need it, and then us the ability to reorder from there. So I've got tons of items I don't need on a reorder list or report regularly, even though we keep them at zero in the system.
P.S.-The other idea listed for a maximum option would also be cool. And so would a "reorder quantity" so whoever goes to order next time knows how many are typically ordered at once.
Hi @Guest this doesnt answer the idea in totality but wanted to provide what I could scrounge up right now in MLW for a "inventory minimum quantity report (screenshot below), via the "View all Inventory" page in MLW.
Add "minimum" column via column button
Add "below minimum" column via column button
Filter below minimum to "true"
Create saved filter for view via actions button
This way you'll have a dynamic report that will display all inventory items below their minimum threshold.
