Ability to merge assets

Often there are duplicate records of the same assets. Sometimes they come from old systems, existing assets that were re-surveyed, or simply a duplicate. This makes data cleanup very difficult.

There are fields from both old and current asset records that are valuable to keep. I need a way to merge asset records and decide which fields are valuable to keep, allowing me to map the data to empty fields. After retaining the required data decide on what to do with the old record to be abandoned.
