Reroute is currently only meant for approvals, but it should also be able to be for assignees to change the request type. If a request is put in for 'Technology' but is meant for 'Maintenance' then we should be able to click reroute or another button to send it to maintenance users instead without having to go through edits. this would also help reducing the amount of users that get the 'Edit Work Orders' permission.
Thanks for the idea submission @Guest , in this case if the work order is at the assigned status and the assignee reroutes the request type from technology to maintenance, should the work order still be assigned status or should it have to go through approval again?
I think the caveat here (with current functionality in mind) is that the assignee would still need access to both request types in their role to do this.
