The idea is were only tracking half the equation when it comes to receiving orders for inventory.
When it comes to managing receiving orders we need to be able to track the planning of orders so that an inventory manager knows what they have in the pipeline for inventory item deliveries.
From logging orders we need to able to track similar information from what we do on the current receiving page.
Order ID (auto generates)
logging many items on a given order
vendor
Quantity
possibly other fields..
Orders should have statuses as well. Statuses like "Ordered", "Shipped", "Out for Delivery", "Partially Delivered", "Delivered"
Think of when ordering items from amazon
I would love to be able to put my receivings in before they arrive and as a whole receipt/PO (and upload an image of that receipt). Then when the items come in you just click on the order and receive line by line (or as a whole). This would save a ton of time and help us forgetful folk. Also if the person who did the ordering is out for the week then anyone with permission could go in and do the receiving since all the important information will already be in the system.
As for the second part of this request, it would be really neat to be able to give people a more work order-like visual of their orders. So currently they see "approved", "assigned", and "completed". Having "Being Filled/Pulled", "Out for Delivery" added would be super helpful! Kind of like the "in progress" in work orders.
